I would like to announce a Python front-end to CHADDB. The Python front-end is called Ekklesia. The console version, Ekklesia Genesis, is making significant progress. I now have the main reports from the People menu complete.

I recently modified CHADDB itself and the test data set, and have a further modification to make that will allow comments or notes throughout the DB.

Python gurus should feel free to jump into the fray!

I'm a big Linux desktop user and advocate. I'm hoping to promote not only Linux, but any good free and open software. Ministry is an ideal place to do that. Many ministries do not have big budgets. I have some good ideas about what's out there and I have some visions of what I would like to see. I'm glad to help out with ideas, prayers, and promotions.

Hi everyone - we had an outage over the weekend as a result of a hardware failure on our main server. The site is now up on a backup system. Thanks for your patience!

Christian Open Source Project Site Online
Posted by Greg B on Tue Feb 07 2006, 03:48PM
http://source.emptycrate.com is a new project management site catering to the Christian open source community. We are running a derivative of the Sourceforge website software. We provide subversion, issue tracking and wiki space to all registered projects. More possibilities are available, such as mailing lists and CVS source control, if there is demand for them. Stop by and register a project or get involved with an existing project.

Site online on backup system
Posted by Greg B on Tue Jun 14 2005, 12:12PM
Beginning at mid-day on June 10th, we had an outage resulting from a power supply failure in our main server. While the repair work is underway on that system (which is co-located), our site is back up on a backup system that was just donated to us a day and a half ago. The date/time of the backup we restored from was about 11:30PM June 9th. Little data should be lost but if you signed up in that window of time, you will need to signup again. Thanks!

Project Registry Launched
Posted by lehresma on Fri Jan 14 2005, 09:18AM
One of the many goals of CODN is to provide a comprehensive project registry of software projects relevant to different aspects of missions. The initial version of this registry is simply static pages listing known projects. This can be found in the Projects section of the site. If you would like to add a project, please add a comment to the appropriate page. We are also working on a more robust project registry system that will allow for a more dynamic and interactive (i.e. searchable) experience. This should be available within a few weeks.
